What DEVA Has Been Up To: A Journey of Growth, Empowerment, and Community-Building

The past few months at DEVA have been packed with exciting initiatives, deep dives into event planning, and new collaborations, all with one clear goal: to empower and support neurodiverse and entrepreneurial women. From gearing up for International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025 to launching impactful workshops, here’s a behind-the-scenes look at everything we’ve been up to.

1. Planning for IWD 2025

One of the biggest projects we’re working on is the preparation for International Women’s Day 2025. For the third year, we’re thrilled to host a memorable IWD celebration! Sponsored by myself and Blunt Salon – Kalli McAllister, the event will take place on Saturday, 8th March, at Theatr Brycheiniog.

Featuring four inspiring women sharing their stories, this event will highlight the strength and energy that drives our community. With engaging talks, a Q&A session, and networking opportunities, this free event promises inspiration and empowerment for all.

2. Building and Expanding the NeuroHub VA Network

Our collaboration project, the NeuroHub VA Network, has also been growing in both reach and impact. NeuroHub offers neurodiverse individuals a safe space to access specialised VA services and connect with other professionals who understand their unique needs.

To support this, we’ve been rolling out Neurodiversity in the Workplace Workshops to help companies foster inclusive environments and make neurodiversity a core part of their D&I strategy.

Developing NeuroHub has been a deeply personal journey, and we’re proud to see the impact it’s making. We believe that, through NeuroHub, companies and VAs alike can embrace neurodiversity and build workplaces that honour everyone’s unique strengths.

3. Becoming a #IAmRemarkable Facilitator

I’m thrilled to announce that I am now a trained #IAmRemarkable facilitator!

This incredible initiative, originally developed by Google, is designed to empower individuals to celebrate their achievements, break down self-promotion barriers, and embrace their unique value. I’ll be hosting #IAmRemarkable workshops in the near future, so stay tuned for upcoming dates!

These workshops will offer a safe, supportive space to help participants boost their confidence and share their stories authentically. I can’t wait to bring this inspiring initiative to our community!

4. Practicing Self-Care and Supporting Our Teams

Supporting others takes energy, so we’ve been focused on practicing self-care within DEVA and encouraging it within our team.

As we assist neurodiverse clients and entrepreneurs, we recognise that prioritising self-care helps us show up fully for our clients and stay grounded in our work. By setting boundaries, celebrating small wins, and tapping into support networks like the NeuroHub VA Network, we’re ensuring our team has the resources they need to thrive.

What’s Next?

With so much progress and growth behind us, we’re excited for everything that lies ahead. From IWD 2025 to new NeuroHub partnerships, and now the addition of #IAmRemarkable workshops, our commitment to building empowering, inclusive communities remains strong.

Here’s to a bright and inspiring New Year filled with growth, collaboration, and empowerment! Stay tuned for more updates as we continue working on projects that inspire and uplift.

Thank you for being part of our journey!
